life insurance
my mother is in a nursing home and they took her 401k and retirement and ssi money. do they have to put back enough to help with burial or do i need to try and set some aside? if not do they have to give her money for life insurance?

Who is handling your mother's estate? How much is involved? Planning can avoid this result, but it may be too late for your mom now.
