Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

i am 24 in KY dating a 17 year old that lives in IN. Her Parents are separated but still legally married and do not live together. Her mother and mothers boyfriend do not agree with our relationship and want to take legal action. we are not sure what her fathers position is on our relationship yet but she is going to talk to him. i understand that the legal age of consent in both states are 16 but i am not for sure if there is an age difference restriction on consent. also what can her parents legally do to me and does it require both of her parents to prosecute. she lives with neither one and resides at her grandparents home. also she is less than 5 months from turning 18 at which a later date i will turn 25. i would also like to know about them being able to get a restraining order and if that would require both parents disapproval and pursuit of it?

Wait until she is 18 and moves out. Your relationship will last that long. It is possible that a restraining order can keep you from their home in Indiana.

I agree with Jay. 5 months is a comparatively short period of time and you do not need to be involved in litigation or the costs of hiring an attorney.
