Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
About 5 months ago my mother started divorce proceedures from her husband of six years. Her husband has their house, my mother does not want it back. After both parties get legal representation, my mother recieved the vehicle that her and her husband had purchased together. Her husband signed the title of the vehicle over to her and now the vehicle and the loan for it are in her name.
As the proceedures are still going on my mothers attourney is telling her that she is entitled to some of the equity from their home as well as a portion of her husbands pension. Her husband is also entitled to a portion of my mothers pension. Her husband had taken out a loan that she did not know about somewhere in the amount of $5,000.00. Is she responsible for any portion of that?
Also, her husband has something called a "drop account" due to his profession. Is she entitled to any portion of the money in that account?

Your mother has counsel who is fully aware of all of the facts and circumstances of her case. Any answer that could be provided i nthis forum without that knowledge would be pure speculation. I suggest that you and your mother speak with her lawyer.
