Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter with a man that is currently in jail for multiple drug felonies. He has been ordered to pay 50$ a month in child support and has never paid a dime. I was wondering if I can cancel the child support payments and take his rights away. I feel he is unfit for my daughter. We have/are not married. Will I have a good chance in court to win? I live in evansville, IN and he resides in indianapolis,IN. Marion county jail II. My name is amber bohn. Thanks a lot!

You cannot cancel his child support or terminate his rights. However, if you should marry
there is a reaonably good chance that your husband could adopt and by doing so that would terminate the biological father's rights.
