Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
accused of taking items that arent mine
I am married but just this past saturday moved back into my house that I own individually. We have been married since marh 18th of this year. I only took what I moved in with and the items that were ''gifts'' that is all. Everything that I bought him I left. He brought a police officer to my house today and I was upstairs with radio on and unpacking. My son came home and he was confronted by My husband and grabbed by the throat and told ''go ahead and punch me I know you want to'' my son ask the officer did he see that and he said he didn't see anything. No papers have even been filled on either side, so we are still married. There are 4 items that he is disputing computer tower 1 tv micorwave and crockpot. These item are very minute in the whole picture of things. I never spoke to the officer or my husband, so what should I do now. I appreciate any help you can provide.
Thank you

Re: accused of taking items that arent mine
I have no idea concerning the local politics in the county that you live in. You should consult an attorney locally.
If politics are not an issue,
you should file a complaint with the chief of police. The police should not have even been involved.
Your son can obtain a protective order for free by going to the local county courthouse.
Also, sounds like you need to file for a dissolution of marriage.
