Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
additional parenting time
my husband and i are not divorced yet and have agreed to joint legal and physical custody. He wants to have a family member watch the children on his week, i would rather have the oppurtunity if i'm able to watch them to spend additional time with my children. IN guildlines state i must be offered the oppurtunity if child care is needed other than a family member. I also states a relationship with at family member should not interfer with the relationship of a parent. I do want my children to spend time with there family but i would like the oppurtunity to first. Do i have any recouse in this situation or do you have any suggestions on how to convience my husband that it's better for the children to spend time with parents instead of family if possible?

Re: additional parenting time
If the family member is a member of his household, you are out of luck. If someone who is not in his household, you are in luck.
Hope this helps.
