Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Adoptive parent rights

We adopted children from DCFS 11 years ago. This was a closed adoption but some information was leaked to the biological family. The biological mother has now contacted us and wants access to the children. Are there and legal steps I should make at this point? I do not want her coming into their lives until they are ready and want to see her. This will be many years and she is being insistent.

Re: Adoptive parent rights

She has no rights. If necessary you may have to seek a civil protective order. In the meantime, you may want to hire an attorney to send a cease and desist letter to the biological mother. You may feel free to contact me directly by email.
