Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
adultry
my wife had an affair with a member of our church that lasted 4 years this man took advantage of her good nature by being extremely nice to her and when he got her alone he made his advances towards her and in her vulnerable state of mind lacked the mental boldness to say no which started the affair when this affair started, this man was a member of the church board, had been for years when this affair started this has put me through pure hell and even though we are trying to work it out this affair has put us in total financial hell we are trying to get some kind of help from the church but so far all i'm hearing is i'm sorry and i don't know what to tell you from the people that are involved with dealing with this. It had pretty much destroyed my marriage and my life and all they can say is i'm sorry this man this man is well respected in the church and has the deck stacked in his favor because he mekes big money and no one hears our plea for help i'm on sick leave from cancer surgery and we have no money all we had to buy groceries this week was 20 dollars and no one is offering to help can we build a civil case from this we are both hurting because of this mans selfish act and have no one to turn to for help please advise.

Re: adultry
Based on the facts that you have presented, it is unlikely that you have a valid suit against the church. If he was a minster and your wife had sought marital counseling from him and he made such advances, you would have a different situation.
