Age a child can choose to live with a parent

At what age can a child have the choice in court to say which parent he would like to live with.

The child always can state his or her preferneces. However, before age 7, virtually no weight is given to that preference, from age 7-14, the preference is considered, and from age 14 on, the preference is given significant consideration by the court.
