Re: annulment of a marraige
Indiana law specifies that when an annulment is available, the procedure and the times are identical to an action to dissolve a marriage. The situation is very limited for when an annulment is available and broader for a dissolution. Annulment actions are the exception rather than the rule in Indiana. The case cannot proceed to a final hearing or presentation of the final agreed paperwork until 60 days have passed since the case was filed. You can also have preliminary hearings as in dissolution cases. And if there are children, they are also provided for and treated as legitimate children rather than children born out of wedlock for those who care for the distinction.
