Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

baby siiting costs

Hi, I am divorced and pay 872 dollars a month in child support for 2 kids. Of that 872 a month 260 dollars goes

toward paying a baby sitter to watch my 2 boys. My ex wife has physcially custody of the boys. I asked her to show me receipts that she is actually paying the amount for the babysitter. She says that she has been paying the sitter in cash for the past year. Isn't that somewhat illegal and she get in trouble for not proving to me and the courts that she is in fact paying for a sitter.

What actions can I take thru the courts to find out what she really did with the money.

Please respond ASAP..Thanks..

Re: baby siiting costs

You can ask for an accounting of where the child support is going. What is going on is not necessarily illegal and to make any changes in your support order, you will need to get back into the court that granted your divorce.
