Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Back in april of 09 I and the mother of my child seperated and an agreement was drawn up in regards to the custody of our son. In said agreement it was stated that all supervision and such was to be 50% on everything with both parents. However, on the parenting time it was included that we both agreed to continue to place the child in the the home of my parents as we had since birth. My parents watched our son on the weekends so we both could work. Well about a month ago, my parents did not agree with a religious decision I had made and refused to give him to me. A modification was made stating a specific time schedule showing what days he was with them each week. There are still issues with this arrangement as I find it rather unyielding that I have to ask them permission to see my son and I want to know what steps I need to take to get my full 50% of his parenting time. Thank you!
