Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

battle with grandparents

my children have been living in florida with my husbands parents for nearly two years while we worked to re-establish ourselves in our hometown of south Bend Indiana. we allowed them to finish out the school year there though we were ready for them to come home in january. Now they are refusing to send them home claiming they have legal rights over them. They are in Chicago with our children this week and we are going to go get them forcefully. Is this a problem for us in any legal way??

Re: battle with grandparents

Your question is way to involved for this forum. You have not indicated whether there is any court order already in existence suchg as a guardianship.

If there is no legal court order, you certainly can get your children, but not forcefully. Based on the very limited information provided, you will not face any criminal charges if there is no force involved. However, there may be other problems.
