Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

bills and accounts

Since my divorce a month ago, I have found a property tax bill for 2003. 2004 taxes are paid but Indiana was late on there assesments making 2003 taxes due after 2004. In the divorce I got the house he got the two checking, savings, mutual funds and 401K. Another words all the money. If taxes were paid when they should have been, it would have been taken out of these accounts. Can I take him back to court to have him pay all the taxes or just half? I also found 2 small accounts he held jointly with the 2 kids that he didnt disclose. Are these matters that small claims can do or do I need to consult with an attouney?

Thank you

Re: bills and accounts

The divorce court is the proper place to discuss these issues. It is likely that the Court will only order him to pay half the tax bill, and it will consider whether the accounts are marital property and how they ought to be divided.
