Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

my ex boy friend took full custody of my son. He came to my residence yesterday with the police and paper work stating he had full physical custody. today he is calling me hysterical saying he can't handle being a single parent of 3 young children. He has twins from a previous relationship. i want to have my baby he is 4 months old and is my world. I ahve contacted the local police department that he got involved yesterday and they said to wait on the courts... Please give me some advice
