Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Brother remarrying with no pre-nup

My brother recently got remarried without a pre-nup. He came out of his 1st divorce pretty well, but i fear his selection of women this time could really put a hurt on him and me in the long term. We have several business dealings with each other. There are 3 of us partners in a grain elevator that is incorporated. We own machinery together and are in current negotiations for further business ventures. What i need to know is what can happen if he gets another divorce. What could she potentially be entitled to. Ive always heard that whats whose b4 the marriage stays that way but i dont really buy that. I know if they do get a divorce she will try to come after as much as she can

Re: Brother remarrying with no pre-nup

The general rule is that absent a prenup, his wife will be entitled to one half of hour brother's assets. There are numerous exceptions to the rule.

You might be able to do some kind of buy/sell agreement for the businesses/

Good luck
