change of venue for custody and support

in october when my divorce was finalized in Indiana i received custody of my 2 children. since then i and my ex husband have both moved out of the state of indiana, me to Illinois and him to Ohio. He has petitioned the court where our divorce was finalized for a modification in support and custody of both children. How do i get a change of venue to where i live in coles county Illinois?

You need to rely on the UCCJA and register your decree in IL where you reside and file a motion in Indiana objecting to jurisdiction because the children have lived elsewhere for the past 6 months.
