Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
when a child is born out of wedlock with the biological father being listed on the birth certificate. Wouldn't the mother have to contact the father if she were going to have her then husband adopt the child? Wouldnt the father have to sign over his rights?

The biological father has to be notified, yes.

Notification is required. Adoption is not as simple as it may seem. Hire counsel, you do not want problems creeping up years down the line becasue counsel was not used.
