Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

child custody

I have had my children for the last 2 1/2 years in Indiana. The mother resides in Minnesota. I just file a motion in Minnesota to stop my child support payments and to have her start paying. Because of this she wants to come take the kids back to avoid the monetary payments. I have had the children off and on for the last 9 years because of her instability. I just found out that there was no custody order ever filed. What can I do to keep her from just coming and taking the children. This is not the first time she has done this. I can not afford an attorney at this point. We were never married.

Unfortunately, your situation is way too complicated for this forum. It is a mess, to be frank. In light of the circumstances YOU REALLY NEED TO FIND THE FUNDS FOR AN ATTORNEY! Good luck
