Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
Child custody
My ex girlfriend and my daughter live in Indiana. I live in California. Do I have the right to get joint custody? There is no history of child abuse or neglect of any kind, nor are there any allegations. My ex, however, thinks I should only see my daughter if I agree to visit her in Indiana. I feel I should be allowed to have the child (she's 2 1/2) come stay in California for part of the year. What are my rights? Thank you.

Go to the Indiana Judiciary Website rules and click and download the Indiana Parenting Time Guidelines Review the distance section and the age specific section. Also, go to the Indiana Code, Ch 31 for the factors concerning joint custody.
