Child custody moving from one state to another

I have two kids under 4, I have not been married, I want to move to Texas with my mom, the father doesn't work, there is no legal/court involvement, can I move and not get in trouble with the court system.

You were not married. However, you do not state whether there has been a legal determination of paternity by a court. If there has been a paternity case and the father was granted parenting time, you need to follow the relocation procedures set forth in Indiana Code Chapter 31.
