child custody for my newborn son

i had a newborn son out of wedlock with a gal i do not live with either..i have started ball rolling to establish paternity thru child support div..he is 8weeks old today and have seen him twice in a month..what is my best course of legal action to take for getting joint custody of him after paternity is established to enforce regular visitation?

Your best course of action is to hire counsel,see your child as much as possible and pay support even if it has not been court ordered. The issues are far too complicated to be answered with any specificity in this forum.
