child emancipation

how do a person go about filing for emancipation of their children. they care done with their child support payments and both kids had quit high school, have full time jobs, one has a child and both still live with their mother. the mther wants to take her ex back to court as htheir daughter wants him to pay for braces. the daughter is 20 and the son is 19. The ex has dished out thousands of dollars on his own over the past 2 years to pay for getting vehicles back after both kids were arrested. Does the ex wife any legal right to take the father back to court for money? Should the father file for emancipation?

Re: child emancipation

Father needs to file a petition with the court for emancipation. Until he does so, he continues to have a duty under the divorce decree to support the children. Emancipation is something that is not automatic.
