Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Child support arrearage

3 part question

I understand that if there is a child support arrearage that all licenses can be suspended. How does one go about this? My ex-wife is currently over 5200 behind on child support.

Also the judge ordered her to pay 750 of my legal fees back in Apr 07 at the rate of 100 per month. I have seen 0 of it so far. Can I take her back to court without a lawyer? Seems like an easy matter, she has not paid even though the court ordered her to.

Last one.. She says that she gets to claim a kid on taxes if she is current for the year. All that the order says is you have to be current on child support to be entitled to claim the deduction. To me that means totally current, not just for the year. Who is right.

Thanks

Re: Child support arrearage

Re: back child support and legal fees-- I would advise filing a Motion for Contempt and request a hearing. If you retain counsel and are successful, your wife could be ordered to pay your fees. To collect them you would file a small claims action.

Wife likely to be able to claim child on taxes if current for the year.

Re: Licenses, get in contact with the Prosecutors Div IV office in the county where the order was made.

I would be glad to handle thess matters for you but would require a retainer
