Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

child support

Due the demise of my health, I have been forced to file disability. I have not been able to work. I am to appear in Court for 3000$ in arrears...I am unable to pay. I have been told that i will be thrown in jail...is there any law that protects me from going to jail with a disability claim pending and my health problems.

No, there is no such law. However, my experience is if there is a legitimate reason for the arrears,and some effort at paying support has been made the court will not incarcerate a person.
