Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

child support

I am a father who has fathered a child outside of my marriage. I was ordered to pay child support a couple of years ago. I got behind last year and was ordered to pay fifteen dollars to catch up the payments. I have consistently been paying my child support however, I recieved a letter stating that I had to go back to court for non-payment, I think the mother is doing this out of spite. She gets government assistance, how can I be held in contempt if I am paying every month what I am suppose to pay.

Just because it comes in the mail, does not mean it is a letter. Not sure what you got in the mail but if it was from a court, then you need to show up. Hopefully, you have been paying through the court and can got to the Marion County Clerk's office to show your payments.
