Child support

I signed parental rights over on a child and the custodial parent has requested in writing that the arrearage be expunged. The prosecutor's office won't stop taking it from my paychecks. I need help, I am sinking fast!!!!

What do you mean you signed over parental rights? That can only be done thru a CHINS hearing or adoption.

Also, the custodial parent has no authority to waive arrears or child support. If you have a court document reflecting that your parental rights are terminated, that would stop child support as of that date, however, it would not relieve you of your obligation prior to that time ( the arrears).
