Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Child Support

My 20 year old son failed all four classes in college this spring term. His mother (my ex-wife) controls his spending account. He moved in with me, and she is claiming that she does not have to pay child support for him since he failed at school. Since he did fail, I will see that he enrolls at a different school a minimum of 15 hours. Is she required to pay support? Can I petition the court for control of spending account? Insurance issues?

Re: Child Support

Upon a modification, you will get child support. However, you may have difficulty obtaining contribution for college expenses. Good Luck
