Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

child support/custody

My 18 year old daughter who is a senior in high school left her father's house and moved in with me. Her father still has my 16 year old son. Do I need to file for custody since she is 18? Do I still pay him support since we each have one child?

Re: child support/custody

Yes you need to file for a change in custody if you are supporting your daughter.

Regarding child support, if your ex husband earns substantially more than you then you want child support and need to incude that in the modification of custody. You also need to address IRS exemptions regardless of the income.
