Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

I am considering going after my ex for child supportour daughter will be a year old next month. he has never seen her nor has he even called me about her. i gave him many oppurtunities to see her whn she was a newborn but he wouldn't ever email me back. i was wondering if i went after him for the support what rights would he have to her?

If he is legally the father, he has the right of parenting time in accordance with the Indiana Parenting Time Guidelines, regardless of whether he is paying child support or not. You are not granting a legal father anything by pursuing your rights to support for the child.

He has the right to see his child (parenting time) and the right to ask the court for custody. However, based on the information that has been provided, I would not worry too much about that possibility at this time.
