Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

children

I want to move out of state which is 400 miles away and I have custody of our children. Is there any reason their father can prevent me from moving. The reason I am moving is to be with my dad and to go to school to work for a family business. The time I want to move my son will be 17 and my daughter will be 16 that following November.

Re: children

Sure, he can object. You are moving his children 400 miles away. He will see them less and it will be very expensive.

There is a statute regarding relocation and notice. It is very specific and you should consult an attorney in person.
