Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

With concern to splitting medical/mental health counseling, if the other parent has placed a child in a theraputic boarding school that is of their religious faith, and not submitting brokendown medical items, how is this interpreted?? Insurance isn\'t covering, the statements don\'t tell how many hours he spent in counseling and what the charges were. I don\'t feel we should pay for his schooling, uniforms, room and board, wildnerness hiking and canoe trips. \nOur suggestions were not looked at because of religious beliefs. Why pay full insurance on a child and not try to use it and put the other parent in financial turmoil, when there is another child to be raised.

You need to rewrite this with details concerning the court order that set forth custody and child support. You should also read the Indiana Paretning Time Guidelines and the Chils Support Guidelines at the Indiana Judiciary Website. Ultimately, due to the nature of your dispute, it is likely that you will need to consult with an attorney as your issues are probably too complex for this forum.
