Consensual Custody

To file consensual custody paperwork thru the court. Do you need to have your own lawyer? Or can you share a lawyer with your X?

You should have your own lawyer review the paperwork and make sure that legally it says what you are agreeing to.

You never get to share an attorney in a litigation matter. The attorney can represent only one party. You and the other parent can agree to waive any conflicts but you two and the attorney need to agree on this waiver.
