Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
I went to court and tried to get the judge to say ok to me moving with my 3 children. The father talked about the relationship with the kids and his parents and the distance to come and get the kids. I received a letter of the judge denying the move. It said that the mothers request wasnt in bad faith however the father showed that it wasnt in the kids best interest. For one I dont understand that but also was wondering if I could file an appeal and what all I would have to do? I cant afford a lawyer and have already filled out the papers to get a free one. Also is there a time limit oh when this needs to get done?

Appeals must be filed within 30 days of the final order being issued. You need to have an attorney to do it right.
I agree with Jay. You need to see an attorney as soon as possible. There may be something that can be done in the trial court before or after an appeal, and there are very tight time requirements.
