Custody/Support/Visitation
The mother of my stepson is unfit. He is 3 we have had the pleasure of knowing him for over a year. My husband pays child support or did until he lost his job in March. It is court ordered to come out of his check so he has asked her repeatedly to get a coupon book so we can send money. she has told my husband we can not see/talk to his son. she lives in IN we live in MI. we were getting him every couple of months and keeping him with us for 2-5 weeks at a time. she won't work she refuses to give us medical records an address any info at all. she lives with her mom and is on welfare. she has already had one son taken away. he is not in a healthy env. he rides with no car seat when he is in a car. she has no transportation we own our home, I have had my job with excellent benefits at that for over 2years now. reliable transportation we want custody of him. we don't even want child support from her and she can have visitation. we have been covering the gas to get him and bring him back. she is taking my hus to court for non payment he is only 1200 behind in july we need to know what to do to fight for custody and how much to get a cert letter sent to her requesting med info and a coupon book for now please help
