Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

While my daughter was with her dad, his girlfriend's sister's dog attacked and bit my daughter's upper arm. All she did was run pass the dog. Her father did not let me know about it until he dropped her off almost 24 hours after the bite. I took her to the emergency room and file a report. What can I do to make sure this does not happen again? And isn't her father required to tell me about this when it happens not a day later?

Thanks

There is nothing you can do to make sure it does not happen again. Although, if this dog bites her again, you could probably have the dog put to sleep.

I suggest that you discuss this with the father of your child as well as the fact that he needs to notify you sooner when things like this happen.
