It is a bit late in the game. Hire counsel.

I am going to amend this answer as a result of an email that I received and explain myself a bit better. This is a custody battle concerning your grandchild. You do not want to go up against DCFS without counsel. You can contact Indiana Legal Services and if you qualify, you may be entitled to free representation.

If the case was reset, you should move on this immediately so that you give an attorney enough time to learn the specific facts and prepare as it is out of the ordinary for DCFS to

not place a child with a family member. There must be something out there that the attorney will need to learn about so that the issue can be addressed.
