Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
How can my daughter request a modification in the visitation my grandchild has with his father and grandparents. Seems he and his parents have more time with him than we do and she has custody. In 2 years we have yet to have him for a weekend or a holiday and she can't afford an attorney to take him back to court. Not to mention it is an unhealthy enviroment and the father has been jailed due to domestic violence with his current girlfriend. Seems he has more rights than she does and he is absolutely unfit

If he really has a visitation order where he gets every weekend and holiday, then an attorney is the only option for your daughter to get the order changed. It sounds like there may be more than you have been told if your daughter is going along with all of this.
I agree with Jay. The situation is probably too complicated for your daughter to handle this without an attorney. If she cannot afford an attorney, she should see if she qualifies for a free one with Indiana Legal Services or your judicial district's pro bono plan. If she lives near a law school, most offer iscounted legal services through their clinics. Additionally, perhaps you or other family members can help her out financially. You used the term we in your posting, so it sounds as if all of you as well as the kids would benefit. Keep in mind that if she has limited funds and he works, she may be able to obtain an order for reimbursement of her fees
