Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Here is the deal I have a 16 year old daughter that I currently pay child support on & up until about 8 months ago exercised visitation regularly. Now she does not want to come over her mother doesnt encourage her to I have filed contempt charge on her, but the bottom line is she doesn't want to be at my house. Can I sign parental rights over & her husband adopt for child support to stop. Because right now not only am I not seeing my daughter her lawyer has countered the contempt & wants more money for child support. I have 3 children with my wife now & this been causing issuesw in the house. She says her lawyer can draw it up where it is all done is that true or would we still have to go in front of a judge?

The only way that you can give up your rights is if her husband adopts your daughter. You can do this by consent once a Petition for Adoption is filed. You will remain responsible until the date that a decree of adoption is entered.
