Disabled Parent's Right to Custody
Where can I get help? I am a disabled mother in jeopardy of losing my children. I have done nothing wrong. Nothing. Nor can I defend myself in court: I�ve been destitute. I have all the necessary documentation to prove my innocence but cannot pay a lawyer to examine it. My ex-husband filed suit for custody after I pressed him to reimburse me for our children's medical expenses. I live in Arizona; the December 7 hearing is in Indiana. My case is very complex; it involves abuses by a federal ethics attorney, car accidents, and evictions. Please help.

If you cannot afford to hire an attorney, you can get free legal aid from Legal Aid Society in Indianapolis.
You can call directory assistance to get the number -- or look online.
Otherwise, you can always defend yourself, but plan on doing a lot of work and research to get yourself up to speed on the issues.

Unfortunately, I am unsure as to how you can get help. I am not licensed in Indiana. I do not know any attorneys in Indiana. Finally, I am unaware of what legal services may be available in Indiana. Perhaps you should call the Indiana State Bar Association.
