Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Divorce and Child Support

In Sept 2007 California put a child support order on me because my then wife was receiving welfare. In Feb 2008 she moved to Indiana so I could be closer to my son. In March 2008 we filed for divorce. In the divorce we agreed to joint legal custody, she have sole physical custody, and $0 child support. We were going to handle that ourselves. She just changed her address is CA after 5months. They are still taking support sending it to her mother's house and her mother is mailing it to her in IN. So does the divorce override CA order or does the divorce decree even matter?

Re: Divorce and Child Support

I am shocked that an Indiana Court approved an agreed order for no child support when there is sole physical custody. You should send a copy of the order to the IVD program in California along with an affidavit from your ex with the date that she relocated to Indiana.
