divorce with no children
I have been married for 3 three years. I left a marriage of 17 years. My new husband assured me , promised me that he would take care of me and give me the same security my ex-husband provided. Now, he wants a divorce and tells me to move out, into an apartment and says he will not have to give me anything or share any property or retirement with me. I am unemployed. Is there some kind of breach of verbal contract that could protect me? I forfeited my share of my ex-husbands retirement and stock provisions. I also allowed my two children to stay with their father, per my husband's urging. He was very generous at the start of our marriage, allowing me to spend freely on my children. They come to my house almost every day.We live about 5 blocks from my ex-husband. But now he doesn't want them at the house and doesn't want me to spend anything on them for any reason. If I leave him I am afraid I will be without a place to live, without insurance and without any security for the future. My ex-husband would never have left me or divorced me. what can protect me?

YOu need top rovide more details regarding what was promised, etc., and why you forfeited all of your rights to your first husband's pension etc.
That being said, if there is no prenuptual agreement, you will be entitled to share property and to a part of the new husbands pension, assuming that he continued to work at the same company during your three years. Also, depending on circunstances you may be able to obtian temporary maintenance during the provisional period.
You need to see a lawyer in person. Look for legal aid or pro bono since you have no earnings.
