Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Divorce

I live in Indiana where counseling for minor children is required when divorcing. Our youngest child will be 18 in May. Do we have to wait until he actually turns 18 to file to avoid this counseling, or can we file within a certain timeframe prior, knowing he will turn 18 during the process?

Re: Divorce

That would be within the court's discretion. I suggest that you take the counseling, its only 4 hours.
