Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
Divorce
Married since 1995. Separated since 2004. husband then remarried in 2007, produced a child with her. We currently have a joint custody agreement. Husband and new ''wife'' are cruel to our 2 daughters. They receive severe punishments. They are forbidden to contact me or speak my name in his home without punishment. After our split he made multiple suicide attempts, spent time in a mental facility, has been arrested more than once. I have called police several times to stop harrassment.
He finally got an attorney and we are in process of signing final papers but my children are miserable with them, they feel abused and scared. They beg me to keep them with me. They are afraid of their father and the ''wife'' gets to do what she pleases to them. I've been told to file charges for bigamy. I am a single mom with no extra money for an attorney, I make too much for legal aid and I am so desperate to help my kids. I don't know how to present a case alone and my kids are at stake. Husband's attorney is trying to push the final decree through in 2 days and I don't know if I can later take him to court for custody. I feel backed into a corner and I can't help myself!

You need an attorney and need to find some way of paying for one. This situation is far beyond self-help and what anyone can do for you in this forum.
