if I purchased a home before I was married and the loan is in my name only, would my husband have any right to the home when we file for divorce?

He would have a right to half the equity that accrued during the marriage only.

Of course, you could trade him that for something else so that you keep all the home equity. Or he might just say it's fine for you to keep it, depending on how amicable the split is.

You would be entitled to half of things like any retirement account increase in value, autos, etc.
