Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

I am divorced. My ex husband was paying per our court order our daughter's medical bills, then he died unexpectantly in January. Now the bill collectors are threatening to garnish my wages for those bills!? Can they do that legally? What can I do to stop this!?

If they are necessary bills for your minor child's medical care, and/or you specifically agreed to pay them when the services were rendered, you have to pay them. A divorce does not change the rights of creditors.
