Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

my dog

My girl friend and i split up and she has the dog which I paid for and also, paid vet bills. I am going to visit my son and dog who live with her now. Do I have a right to keep the dog?

Since it appears that the two of you were not married, it would be best that you take her into small claims to get the dog back. Self-help in this situation would probably just cause you some problems that you mihgt not want.
