Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Can I emancipate my son when I still owe arrearages. Son is 20 and in the Army. Ex wife claims that all arrearages must be paid in full before I can even submit emancipation paperwork. State of Indiana. I believe support (arrearages) and emancipation are separate issues. Can someone please help.

File for emancipation. I know of no case law or statute that requires no arrears for emancipation.
