Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
Can my ex-husband take my car? It was entitled to be mine in the divorce papers, and i have been paying him for insurance and car payments every month- but he refuses to put my name on the title. He says that i needed to do it in the 2 1/2 months after divorce, but he hasn't put my name on the title since we got divorced over 2 years ago. He is threatening me by saying i need to either give it to his parents this weekend to ship to him, or hes sending a sheriff out to arrest me.

No, he can't do this. Have your attorney prepare the necesary paperwork to have it transferred in to your name. If you did not have an attorney handle this for you, get one now to solve this specific issue; it is not an expensive proposition if everything is as you say it is.
I agree with Jay. I also doubt that he will be sending the Sheriff out, but just in case, have your decree available.
