Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
Family Law
I had a child in Indiana with a man and we are not married. I moved to indy to be with him, and it is not working out, we are going to court in July. I want to move back to Arkansas to live with my parents until I get on my feet and he is fighting to keep me there. I only lived in indy for not even 2yrs. Do you think that he could honestly keep me in indy? I am a good mother, all I want is them and for them to have everything I feel they deserve and I dont feel I could provide that for them in indy without the support of my family!

Re: Family Law
If you have a lawyer, speak with him or her as I am sure you have given all the facts and he or she is in the better position to offer an opinion than a lawyer ansering a forum question.
He has a right to a hearing and after hearing all of the facts a judge will determine whether the move is acceptable. If the move is based on the right reasons and it is in the child's best interest, you should be o.k.
If you do not have a lawyer, get one. I now have an office in Indianapolis and you can feel free to contact me.
Good luck
